Juneteenth Parade

Stop by and help us celebrate Juneteeth at the parade. Juneteenth marks the day when a quarter-million slaves in Texas first learned of their freedom. It was on June 19, 1865 that Union soldiers arrived in Galveston with news that the Civil War had ended and the enslaved were now free.
